Vivian Okolie
Chief Financial Officer
Vivian steers Project Yananai programme’s capital strategy, funding structure, and enterprise-wide risk framework. A Chartered Global Management Accountant and Fellow Chartered Accountant, Vivian brings more than a decade of progressive experience spanning banking, financial services, real estate and advanced manufacturing.
Renowned for turning complex financial data into actionable strategy, Vivian has: orchestrated a liquidity-enhancement and debt-consolidation initiative that cut annual interest costs by 18 percent (≈ £1.2 million); secured board approval for a £10 million green-technology expansion through rigorous investment appraisal and scenario modelling; reduced audit-preparation timelines by 20 percent by overhauling documentation and internal-control protocols; designed a cross-functional CapEx governance framework that now serves as the benchmark for major project approvals.
Her core expertise covers: strategic planning and reporting, ICOFR design, regulatory compliance (UK & Nigeria), budgeting and forecasting, financial business partnering, and ERP-driven finance transformation (SAP, Sage, Xero, Power BI, OneStream). Vivian routinely presents to executive committees and non-executive boards, translating technical finance into clear commercial decisions.
Prior to joining Project Yananai, she held senior finance roles in the UK and West Africa, leading high-impact projects such as refinancing for a multi-site industrial group, cost-allocation redesign for a national facilities operator, and enterprise-risk assessments for a regional banking network.
Vivian earned her MSc in Accounting & Finance (Distinction) from the University of the West of England in Bristol, UK, an MBA in Financial Management, and a BSc in Accounting. She is additionally certified by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and is progressing through ACCA and ICAEW qualifications.
A committed industry volunteer, Vivian serves as Financial Secretary for the UK District Society of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and previously chaired its Finance Committee. Her leadership style blends data-driven rigour with a passion for mentoring emerging finance talent.
At Project Yananai, Vivian is on a clear mission to deliver sustainable financial stewardship, unlock strategic value for stakeholders, and ensure every pound deployed accelerates the project’s vision of innovative, inclusive growth.
