Themba is a seasoned professional with over 18 years of experience in the energy, mining, and construction sectors, with a strong background in project management, risk management, and SHERQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality). Themba brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise, as National Manager – SHERQ to drive sustainable and measurable impact across the organization.

Themba holds a Master of Science degree in Occupational Health and Safety from the University of Limpopo and has completed various training programs, including the NEBOSH ICC2 and NEBOSH IGC1. He has also obtained certifications in SHEQ business administration, safety liability, and environmental management.

Throughout his career, Themba has held various leadership positions, including Senior Manager: Support Services and SHERQ at Proconics Group, Director: Pollution and Waste at DARDLEA (Mpumalanga Government), and Middle Manager: SHERQ at Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd. He has also worked on various projects, including the Duvha Recovery Unit 3 Project, the Grootvlei RTS Project, and the Hendrina Lifex Project.

Themba is known for his exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and ability to drive cultural and organizational change. He is a strong advocate for innovation, excellence, and delivering sustainable outcomes. At Project Yananai, Themba will lead the SHERQ function, driving strategic initiatives that promote a culture of safety, health, environment, risk management, and quality excellence across the organization. He will work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement effective SHERQ policies, procedures, and standards that align with best practices and regulatory requirements.

Themba is a member of various professional organizations, including the Institute of Directors (IoD) and the South African Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (SAIOSH). He has received numerous awards and recognition for his contributions to the field of SHERQ, including the SHE Award for Excellence in Safety Management (2014-2020) and the Chairman's Award for Outstanding Leadership (2011).

Themba is fluent in English and isiNdebele. He is a certified facilitator and trainer in various subjects, including SHERQ management, project management, and leadership development.
