Faustina Njanji
National Program Manager - Community Learning Hubs
Faustina is a highly skilled monitoring and evaluation (M&E) professional with over nine years of expertise in program planning, implementation, learning, and results-based management in both Zimbabwe and Botswana. As National Program Manager – Community Learning Hubs at Project Yananai Zimbabwe, Faustina deploys her in-depth experience to advance evidence-based, community-driven learning and development across the country.
Faustina holds a Master of Science in Developmental Studies from the Women’s University in Africa, a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Agricultural Economics, and an Executive Certificate in Programme and Project Monitoring and Evaluation from the University of Zimbabwe. She is also trained in DHIS2, data quality assurance, and advanced public speaking.
Prior to joining Project Yananai, Faustina served as Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager at Stepping Stones International in Botswana, where she oversaw M&E for five major projects, led data quality audits, established learning cultures, and facilitated robust capacity building for staff and stakeholders. She has coordinated the development and review of organizational frameworks, workplans, and ensured progress was systematically tracked against targets. Faustina also represented her organization in national Data Management Technical Working Groups with the Ministry of Health and key implementing partners.
Her professional journey includes significant roles as an M&E Coordinator for USAID-funded programs, where she managed multi-district M&E systems, trained field teams, and ensured data integrity for donor reporting. She has contributed to evaluation consultancies with UNESCO and the European Union, and held positions in research, data management, and analysis with Transparency International Zimbabwe and RealFin Global.
Faustina’s core competencies include results-based monitoring and evaluation, data quality assurance, community-led MEL, data management and analysis, and health information management systems (DHIS2). She is adept at building a culture of learning, synthesizing lessons learned, and supporting adaptive programming for greater program impact.
Fluent in English, Shona, Setswana, and conversant in French, Faustina is recognized for her ability to bridge diverse communities and stakeholders, foster collaboration, and translate data into actionable insights for sustainable development.
At Project Yananai Zimbabwe, Faustina Njanji leads the Community Learning Hubs portfolio, championing inclusive, evidence-driven approaches that empower communities, enhance learning outcomes, and contribute to resilient, locally owned development.
