Farai Nyamangara is a seasoned HR executive with over 15 years of international experience spanning professional services, financial services, and mining. As Project Yananai’s new Chief People and Governance Officer, Farai brings a proven track record of aligning human resource strategies with business priorities, driving transformational change, and optimizing talent management to deliver measurable results.
Prior to joining Project Yananai, Farai held senior leadership roles at both established organizations and high-growth startups in London, including serving as Chief Human Resources Officer at Tantrum Investments and Assistant Director – HR at Ernst & Young LLP (EY). At Tantrum Investments, Farai was instrumental in developing the HR strategy to support business scale-up, successfully hiring the entire C-suite, and implementing robust HR infrastructure and compliance frameworks. During his tenure at EY, Farai led large-scale HR transformation projects, including mergers and acquisitions, digital transformation, and the design of innovative performance management frameworks for teams exceeding 20,000 employees.
Farai’s expertise covers organizational development, C-suite hiring, HR digital transformation, M&A, leadership development, and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). He is recognized for his ability to foster high-performance cultures, champion inclusive workplaces, and deliver HR operations at scale. His career also includes impactful roles at Marks & Clerk LLP, BDO, Goldsearch Holdings, and KPMG, where he established HR functions across multiple countries, led cost-saving restructures, and developed future leadership pipelines.
Farai holds an MBA, a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, and a CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma in HR Management, alongside certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Robotic Process Automation, and Transformational Leadership.
