Dr. Moira Gundu is an accomplished education and information science expert with over 15 years of progressive experience driving innovation in knowledge management, capacity building, and gender empowerment across Southern Africa. Dr. Gundu has extensive expertise to foster robust systems for knowledge sharing, institutional learning, and inclusive growth.

Dr. Gundu holds a PhD in Information Science from the University of South Africa (UNISA), with her research focusing on knowledge sharing practices among mathematics and science teachers in Gauteng schools. She also holds a Master of Library and Information Science and a Higher Certificate in Project Management, further strengthening her proficiency in strategic planning, research, and information systems.

Throughout her career, Dr. Gundu has been a catalyst for organizational transformation. As Head of Department at Hilton College, she led school-wide research and scholarship initiatives, managed information operations, and championed literacy and knowledge management across the educational landscape. Her previous roles include Learning Enhancement Coordinator & Career Guidance Counsellor at St Alban’s College, Information and Knowledge Specialist at St Stithians Boys' College, and Information and Knowledge Management Consultant at African Leadership University in Mauritius. In these capacities, she has developed and implemented information literacy programs, designed future-ready learning modules, and mentored students and educators to achieve academic excellence.

Dr. Gundu is a recognized leader in institutional development, having established functional libraries and literacy programs for UNESCO’s Oliver Tambo Chair of Human Rights and African Leadership University. She has played a pivotal role in curriculum innovation, ICT integration, academic mentorship, and policy implementation, empowering teachers, students, and communities to realize their full potential.

Her commitment to gender empowerment is reflected in her work with community organizations, teacher training initiatives, and her leadership in fostering inclusive learning environments. Dr. Gundu is also an accomplished researcher, presenter, and published author, with her work featured at international conferences and in leading journals. She has received numerous accolades, including the St Stithians College Development Programme Recognition Award and a research grant from St Alban's College under the International Boys' Schools Coalition (IBSC).

Dr. Gundu’s technical proficiency spans library and learning management systems (LIBWIN, InMagic, SABINET, Moodle, Google Suite), project management, and the application of artificial intelligence in education. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (UK), the Library and Information Science Association of South Africa (LIASA), and the South African Council for Educators (SACE).
