Senior Legal Counsel
Tupo Namukonda is a results-driven and solutions-oriented legal professional with a robust background in corporate, commercial, and regulatory law. She brings over five years of post-admission experience advising senior management and boards, delivering pragmatic legal guidance, and ensuring robust compliance in dynamic environments.
Tupo holds a Master of Laws (Commercial Law) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Zambia, along with a Legal Practitioner’s Practicing Certificate from ZIALE. She has honed her expertise through additional professional development in legal writing, analysis, and safeguarding, including certifications in prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse.
Currently serving as Head of Corporate and Compliance at Outresource Business Support Limited, Tupo leads the full suite of company secretarial services, board advisory, and compliance management for a diverse portfolio of clients. She is adept at board administration, delivering board training, tracking statutory and regulatory obligations, and providing legal due diligence. Her strategic legal operations experience extends to contracts, employment law, risk management, and corporate governance, collaborating closely with finance and HR teams to maintain high standards and mitigate legal risks.
Tupo’s prior experience includes roles as Legal Assistant at World Vision Zambia, where she managed legal and compliance matters, drafted and negotiated a range of agreements, and supported disciplinary and safeguarding processes. Her early legal training was gained at the Ministry of Justice and the Attorney General’s Chambers, where she built litigation skills, drafted court documents, conducted legal research, and provided legal opinions on both civil and criminal matters.
With core competencies in contract drafting and negotiation, regulatory compliance, risk analysis, litigation management, and legal training, Tupo brings a practical, analytical, and service-oriented approach to legal challenges. She is fluent in English, Bemba, Nyanja, and Swahili.
