Imutongo is a seasoned finance and development professional with over 20 years of progressive experience in financial management, investment appraisal, donor‑funded programmes, and resource mobilisation. As Resource Mobilisation Manager for Project Yananai in Zambia, he leads the identification and acquisition of in‑kind and non‑cash resources – from construction materials and solar equipment for Community Learning Hubs to home office support for team members – bridging the gap between formal donor funding and operational needs.

Imutongo has a proven track record of preparing bankable proposals and managing large funding portfolios in partnership with international organisations, including UNICEF, Norad, and the International Labour Organization (ILO). He has designed and implemented sustainable development projects capable of mobilising funding exceeding USD 250,000, and has deep expertise in donor compliance, budgeting, project oversight, and financial systems development. He has served at executive and board levels, including as Director of Administration and Finance at the Zambia Agency for Persons with Disabilities and as seconded Executive Director of the National Trust for the Disabled. Earlier roles include Chief Accountant at Multimedia Zambia, Accountant at the Zambia Law Development Commission, and Financial Accountant at the National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA).

Imutongo holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Zambia, is a Licentiate Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA), and has successfully completed the Strategic Level of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). He has also lectured in financial accounting, business law, and taxation at the University of Zambia. Passionate about community development, he has served as Treasurer of the Kabanana Community Development Committee.
