Eugenia Adobea Addo

Director of Communications

A communications leader with over eight years of experience spanning strategy, content, digital platforms, Eugenia has experience in stakeholder engagement within mission-driven public institutions.

As Director of Communications for Project Yananai, she leads the global communications function – shaping the organisation's brand, managing media relations, producing compelling donor and partner content, and overseeing digital presence and internal communications across the Global Executive Leadership Team and National Management Teams.

Eugenia brings a distinguished track record of building communications functions from the ground up. She currently serves as Head of Communications and Media Team for a national public institution, where she leads a five-member team and founded the organisation's official social media presence, building its Facebook and LinkedIn pages from zero. She led the communications strategy and full-scale digital rollout for a flagship national development fund, including its presentation to international investors at a major investment summit, personally developing content and messaging to articulate the fund's value proposition. She also coordinated a national capacity-building programme for 522 district-level officials, project-managing communications materials, logistics, timelines, and media coverage across multiple stakeholders.

Previously, Eugenia headed a statutory disclosure function, administering public-information obligations under national law, and authored and published the institution's Information Manual – a public-facing governance document formalising proactive disclosure practice. She also supported public information request handling for a national health institution and held business development and client acquisition roles, where she honed her skills in market research, relationship-building, and audience-tailored communications.

Eugenia holds an MA in Development Communication and is trained in AI-driven digital marketing and strategic communication. She has completed formal training in building high-performing teams at the Civil Service College in London and holds certifications in public relations and access to information law. She is passionate about using strategic communications to amplify impact, build trust, and tell the story of community-led transformation.
