Chaitanya is a seasoned legal and business professional with over two decades of experience in corporate law, intellectual property, contract negotiation, and strategic advisory across India and international markets. As Regional Director for South Asia at Project Yananai, he leads the organisation’s strategic engagement and operations across the region, ensuring legal compliance, governance excellence, and effective partnership development.
Chaitanya holds an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law from Franklin Pierce Law Center (USA) and a Diploma in Corporate Laws & Management from the Indian Law Institute, alongside a law degree from the University of Delhi. He has worked as Legal Counsel at HP India and Oracle India, managing complex licensing, services, and technology agreements, and has also held senior legal roles at MphasiS (an EDS company) and Nous Infosystems. Chaitanya ran his own consulting firm for over a decade, advising clients across industries on contract negotiation, intellectual property strategy, due diligence, and dispute resolution.
He has spoken at numerous forums, including the European Business & Technology Centre, the High Court of Karnataka, and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, on topics ranging from patent regimes to startup legal structures. Chaitanya brings deep expertise in cross‑cultural negotiation, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement.
He is passionate about using his legal and strategic skills to advance Project Yananai’s mission in South Asia, ensuring that our programmes are built on a foundation of integrity, compliance, and lasting community impact.
