Caren Ng'andu

Head of Communications and Partnerships

Caren is a dynamic marketing and business development professional with over eight years of experience in marketing strategy, customer service, project management, operations, and communications. As Head of Communications and Partnerships for Project Yananai in Zambia, she leads the national team’s efforts to build our brand, tell our story, and cultivate strategic relationships – from government ministries and private sector partners to NGOs and community organisations.

Caren has a strong track record of leading multi‑sector projects, building stakeholder relationships, and driving organisational growth through strategic partnerships, donor engagement, and data‑driven marketing initiatives. She currently serves as Partnership and Business Development Manager for an international non‑profit, overseeing donor‑funded project implementation, building partnerships with dealers, government agencies and farmer groups, and leading field marketing and sales growth strategies. Previously, as Resource Mobilisation Coordinator for a women’s leadership organisation, she developed partnership engagement plans, prepared proposals and concept notes, and supported donor compliance and grant management. She has also served as Marketing Country Manager for a Zambian company, where she led field operations, social media strategy, corporate branding, and stakeholder engagement, and as Advisor for Marketing, Customer Service and Communications at Vision Fund Zambia (an affiliate of World Vision Zambia).

Caren holds an MBA from ZCAS University, a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from the University of Greenwich (UK), and a Professional Certificate in Digital Marketing from the Zambia Institute of Marketing. She is passionate about using strategic communications and partnerships to amplify Project Yananai’s impact and build lasting relationships that advance our mission in Zambia.
