Avinash is a senior technology and infrastructure leader with deep expertise in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, security assurance, and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC). As Deputy Chief Infrastructure Officer for Project Yananai, he supports the design, implementation, and security of our global technical infrastructure – including cloud platforms, cybersecurity frameworks, and the technology that powers our Community Learning Hubs and remote operations.

Avinash currently serves as Associate Director – Cloud & AI at a leading international professional services firm, where he leads the Cloud Assurance practice, delivering high‑stakes security audits and GRC advisory for critical national infrastructure and financial services. He has held senior roles in cyber cloud at a global consulting firm, leading initiatives to secure generative AI solutions, implementing Cloud Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPP), and developing compliance and vendor governance frameworks. He has also served as Senior Audit & Controls Manager for a major telecommunications company, directing end‑to‑end audit lifecycles and assessing data protection compliance (GDPR) for customer‑facing applications.

Avinash holds a Post Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from the Illinois Institute of Technology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence from Columbia Engineering, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Communication. He holds numerous professional certifications, including TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, and Azure AI Engineer. He is passionate about applying cloud, AI, and security best practices to strengthen the resilience and efficiency of mission‑driven infrastructure in the development sector.
