Alice Namuyamba
Country Director
Alice is an experienced livelihood and agriculture expert with over sixteen years of experience contributing to the growth of the agriculture sector in Zambia. As Country Director for Project Yananai in Zambia, she leads the National Management Team, overseeing programme delivery and ensuring that the organisation’s integrated Theory of Change – ‘The Journey’ marriage preparation course, Community Learning Hubs, and relief operations – is executed with excellence, compliance, and lasting impact.
Most recently, Alice served as Agriculture and Livelihood Expert on a major USAID‑funded nutrition project, where she provided technical leadership across thirteen districts, supported over 230,000 farmers in climate‑smart agriculture, and pioneered financial inclusion initiatives that generated over ZMW 52 million in cumulative savings and birthed nearly 50,000 small businesses. She has deep expertise in value chain development, Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA), training design, partnership engagement with government ministries and private sector, and grant compliance.
Alice has also held project management roles with international NGOs, managing education, empowerment, and food security programmes. She holds an MSc in Project Management and a BA in Social Work. Fluent in English, Tonga, Bemba, Nyanja, and Lozi, Alice is passionate about building community resilience through sustainable livelihoods and inclusive programming.
She is committed to ensuring that Project Yananai’s national delivery is timely, professional, and transformative.
